IMPORTANT
PROM INFORMATION
Prom is Saturday, May 3. Grand March is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at Minnehaha
Falls, with dinner and the dance following at Buck Hill in Burnsville. However,
if it is raining at 2:00 p.m. or later on Saturday, Grand March will be held
in the auditorium (old gym) at CA-Bloomington. Check the school web site for
updates that afternoon. If you have any questions, feel free to contact
Haley Coy at 612-363-5111 or Molly Bucher at 612-741-0267.
CROSSING
TODAY. BUILDING TOMORROW.
The Concordia Academy Association of Schools and Concordia Academy-Bloomington
are in the midst of "Crossing Today. Building Tomorrow." This dual
campaign for enrollment and fund-raising is to be completed by May 12. CA-Bloomington
families will receive a letter with campaign updates in the mail in the next
couple of days and should also expect a phone call from a parent of a current
CA-Bloomington student. Plans are underway for a prayer night next week. The
Lord is already blessing this effort in many ways. If you have questions, feel
free to call Lynn Henry, Chief Administrative Officer, at 651-484-8429 ext.
119 or e-mail her at lynn.henry@concordiaacademy.com.
FACES
OF GRACE HOME PERFORMANCE ON MAY 9
Faces of
Grace, CA-Bloomington's drama ministry team, has spent the last several
months performing at area churches and schools. However, if you haven't
caught them yet this year, you'll have a chance on Friday, May 9, when
they hold a "home performance" at CA-Bloomington at 7:00
p.m. There is no admission charge, though a freewill offering will
be taken. The show is one-hour in length, and a reception will be held
after the performance. Faces of Grace takes Biblical parables and puts
modern spins on them, bringing the Gospel to life through drama, comedy,
music, and dance. This year's stories include The The Sower and the
Seed; The Prodigal Son; The Good Samaritan; David and Goliath; and
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Don't miss this great opportunity
for all ages to see students sharing God's word in a unique, meaningful,
entertaining way.

CROSSING
TODAY. BUILDING TOMORROW.
Thanks to so many of the parents who have reponded to the campaign "Crossing
Today. Building Tomorrow." We've had a dedicated group of parent volunteers
who have been contacting donors, current families, past parents, and alumni.
We're also grateful for the efforts of many on the CA-Bloomington staff who
have contributed much in their time and personal donations. As of today, Friday,
May 9, we have 96 students enrolled in grades 7-12 for 2008-09, and we have
received over $81,000 in gifts and pledges. Monday is the deadline for our
two campaign goals: enrolling 125 students and raising $500,000 in gifts and
pledges. We respectfully request that all re-enrollment forms for next year
be turned in to the main office by Monday morning. Additionally, if you have
not made a gift to the campaign, please prayerfully consider this opportunity
to support the school. Gifts may be made in person in the office or online
at www.concordiaacademy.com (click
on "Bloomington" and click on the Crossing Today logo).
