PLAN TO ATTEND BARNES & NOBLE FUNDRAISER THIS MONDAY, DECEMBER 19
A fantastic way to support CA-Bloomington and do Christmas shopping at the same time is almost here! On Monday, December 19, up to 25% of your purchases at the Galleria Barnes & Noble in Edina can go towards CA-Bloomington. Just shop there on December 19, and turn in the special voucher (available at www.lutheranhighschool.com/lhsevents/bookfair.cfm) when you check out. You can also help by giving vouchers to friends and family and letting them know about this great opportunity. CA-Bloomington library volunteers will also be doing gift wrapping on the 19th, 2:00-10:00 p.m. Questions? Call the school at 952-854-0224.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT, MEAL ARE THIS SUNDAY, DECEMBER 18
Join band and choir members for "O Holy Night," the Fine Arts Christmas Celebration on Sunday, December 18, at 3:00 p.m. at CA-Bloomington. In addition to the music, artwork by art students will be on display. Following the concert, you're invited to enjoy homemade soups and sandwiches. Tickets for the meal are $5 per person or $20 per family, with profits supporting the spring choir tour. There is no admission charge for the concert; a freewill offering will be taken.

First semester final exams are next week, followed by Christmas break! The schedule is as follows:

12:00-1:30 - Period 6 Final Exam
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 20
8:00-9:30 - Period 5 Final Exam
9:45-11:15 - Period 4 Final Exam
11:15-11:55 - Lunch
12:00-1:30 - Period 3 Final Exam
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 21
8:00-9:30 - Period 1 Final Exam
9:45-11:15 - Period 2 Final Exam
11:15 - CHRISTMAS BREAK STARTS
TUESDAY, JANUARY 3
SCHOOL RESUMES; SECOND SEMESTER STARTS
Any student who does not have a class during 8th, 5th, or 1st hour does not have to arrive until the next final exam period. If a student does not have a 6th, 3rd, or 2nd hour class, they will be allowed to go home early. If a student has a study hall that falls between two finals, they will be required to report to that classroom for supervision during the testing period. STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE HALLWAYS DURING TESTING PERIODS.

END-OF-SEMESTER REMINDER
First semester grades will be mailed home in early January. Please make sure that you are current with all tuition and fees payments, as report cards will not be sent home if there are outstanding balances on you accounts. Thank you in advance for your help.

INTERNET SERVICE RESTORED
CA-Bloomington's Internet service is back. Thank you for your patience during the "down time."

LAST-MINUTE CHRISTMAS GIFTS AVAILABLE
Do you need a small gift for Christmas? Does Grandma love fruitcake? Do you need one more stocking stuffer? PFA has just the thing. Candy and fruitcake are still available for purchase at Concordia Academy. If you are interested in purchasing some, please call Debbie Heggemeier at 952-844-0128 or talk to Marilee in the school office. Prices are as follows: One pound fruitcakes are $10 and two pound fruitcakes are $19; Small Turtles are $8 and Large Turtles are $14; Small Layered Mints are $7 and Large Layered Mints are $12; Peppermint Crunch is $10; and Peanut Clusters are $10.

JUNIORS SELLING BAKER'S SQUARE PIES
Certificates for Baker's Square pies can be purchased through the first week of January from any member of the junior class. Each certificate costs $12 and is good for one pie at any Baker's Square location. (There is a $2 upcharge for several premium pies.) Proceeds go to junior class funds that support prom and graduation.

MOMS IN TOUCH CHANING MEETING TIMES
Moms in Touch will be changing their meeting time starting in January. The meetings will be changed to one evening during the week. If you are interested in joining this group, please call Debbie Heggemeier at 952-844-0128 or e-mail her at debheg@att.net. More details will be available in future Updates.

NEW SPIRITWEAR AVAILABLE, INCLUDING SPECIAL BASKETBALL ITEMS
New Lancer Spiritwear in a variety of styles is available. Check out the selection and get details at any home basketball games, or talk to any Booster Club member. Lancer clothing items make excellent Christmas gifts! Also, special basketball apparel will be available for families of basketball players. Profits from sales of basketball items will go directly to the Lancer basketball program. See John Venzke for details about these special items.

MOMS IN TOUCH MOMENT
This past Wednesday we prayed about God is our Savior. For our children we prayed that they know the Holy Scriptures which are able to make them wise for salvation through Christ Jesus their Savior (II Timothy 3:15). If you have a moment you might pray the same for your children.
