SCHOOL RESUMES; SECOND SEMESTER STARTS
Any student who does not have a class during 8th, 5th, or 1st hour does
not have to arrive until the next final exam period. If a student does
not have a 6th,
3rd, or 2nd hour class, they will be allowed to go home early. If a student
has a study hall that falls between two finals, they will be required
to report to
that classroom for supervision during the testing period. STUDENTS ARE NOT
ALLOWED IN THE HALLWAYS DURING TESTING PERIODS.
STUDENTS AND STAFF PRACTICE LOCKDOWN
On Thursday, December 14, CA-Bloomington administrators reviewed emergency
lockdown procedures with the student body. These procedures would be used
in the case of an intruder or other threatening individual in the building.
That afternoon, the campus successfully participated in a practice lockdown.
Students did an excellent job reacting quickly and appropriately. CA-Bloomington
has emergency procuedures in place for numerous situations. If you would
like to see copies of our emergency plans, please contact Lynn Henry (lynn.henry@concordiaacademy.com).
WEATHER-RELATED
SCHOOL CLOSING INFO.
If weather forces CA-Bloomington to close school or to cancel afternoon and
evening activities, the announcement will first be made on WCCO Radio, 830
AM. Postings will also be found on the web at www.wcco.com and www.kare11.com.
If possible, e-mail notification will also be made. Channels 5, 11, and 29
will be notified if possible, but WCCO remains the most reliable source.
