Concordia Academy-Bloomington Update for November 11, 2005
Vol. 6, No. 12

TODAY IS A HALF DAY
To accommodate an elementary school matinee of Little Women, school will be dismissed at noon TODAY, Friday, November 11.

LITTLE WOMEN PERFORMANCES ARE THIS WEEKEND!
Louisa M. Alcott's beloved novel Little Women comes to life on the Concordia Academy-Bloomington stage THIS WEEKEND (November 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. and November 13 at 2:30 p.m.). The structure of the play faithfully covers that of the novel, interweaving the lives of the March girls (Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy) and Laurie, the boy next door, as they grow up together during the Civil War era. Admission is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students and senior citizens. LHS students are admitted at no charge. Reservations can be made online at www.lutheranhighschool.com/lhsevents/littlewomen.cfm .

SENIOR PARENTS MEET ON NOVEMBER 14
Senior parents: do you know what is happening in 173 days? The senior class party, and...oh yea...our sons and daughters graduate from high school. Although 173 days may seem like a long time, planning this event will take a lot of time and effort on everyone's part, and it will be here before we know it. Please plan on attending a meeting on November 14th at 7:00 p.m. to begin planning of this event. We would like a volunteer to coordinate this event, and many others to help out where needed. Thank you. -John Venzke

FRUITCAKE AND CANDY ON SALE
Now that the Sweet Delight Confections, both candy and fruitcake, are made, it is time to sell these products. Are you interested in purchasing some of the fruitcake or candy? If so, we will be selling these products at the play this weekend. Or you can contact Marilee in the office or call Debbie Heggemeier at 952-844-0128. Prices are as follows: 1 lb. After receiving the invitation, please RSVP at your earliest convenience so the Booster Club can plan the amount of food needed. This year the banquet will be held at CA-Bloomington. The date for the event will be November 20, 2005 at 5:00 p.m., and the cost will be $7.00 per person.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP
Thank you so very much to all of the volunteers who helped make candy this year. We especially want to thank all of you that helped more than once. Your expertise helped make our jobs easier. We made over 800 boxes of candy! The money made from the candy making will be used for making Concordia Academy a better place for our students! -Debbie Heggemeier, Terri Riehm, and Parents/Friends Association (PFA)
