In addition to the mid-term reports, the mailing also includes several other important pieces of information. If you have any questions about your CA student's progress, please don't hesitate to call any teacher directly. A listing of all staff and phone extensions is on the web at http://www.lutheranhighschool.com/lhsstaff/showStaff-list.cfm .

MOMS IN TOUCH NEEDS YOU!
Concordia Academy needs the prayerful support of its families and friends. Our students and staff benefit greatly from knowing that we uphold them in prayer on a regular basis. Will you please join us? Moms in Touch is a national prayer movement that has been part of Lutheran High School and Concordia Academy for several years. Moms meet weekly to lift up the needs of our school, students and staff, asking God's blessings and guidance in all things. Many of the parents who were previously involved with Moms in Touch have had their students graduate, and many current parents may not be aware of this vital ministry. If you would like to join with other concerned parents, please contact Kathy Gunderson at kgunders@earthlink.net or telephone her at 612-729-0142 to learn more about how you can be involved. Meetings will begin in October 2006, but times and dates are in the process of being scheduled. Also, if you have prayer concerns, please bring them to us on a regular basis. We welcome the opportunity to pray for specific needs within our Concordia community. -Kathy Gunderson

MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS AVAILABLE FROM MUSIC STUDENTS
As a fundraiser for the spring music tour, band and choir members are selling magazine subscriptions. Orders can also be place online all year. Go to http://www.gafundraising.com, select "online store," and put in our school i.d. (443051). Orders can be either new subscriptions or renewals. Magazine subscriptions can also be donated to the library. Questions about this fundraiser? Contact Keith Esala (keith.esala@concordiaacademy.com) or Robin Martens (robin.martens@concordiaacademy.com).

IT'S ALMOST TIME FOR THE CANDY MAKING FUNDRAISER
Dates have been set for the Sweet Delights candy making. They are as follows:
Monday, October 16
Tuesday, October 17
Monday, October 23
Thursday, October 26
Saturday, November 4
Monday, October 30
Thursday, November 2
Tuesday, November 14
All times are 6:30-9:30 p.m., except for November 4, which will be 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon.
Candy making is a fabulous time to meet other parents, no previous experience is expected, and minimal skills are required (mostly a warm body and a willing spirit). Dads and students are encouraged to participate, too. Volunteers can come all or part of the evening. I will be calling all families in the school between now and the beginning part of October to see when they are available to help. If anyone is able to help me with calling, I would appreciate it. People are encouraged to call me and let me know when they want to help. My phone number is 952-835-4450. Thanks in advance. -Terri Riehm

CONVERTIBLES NEEDED
Student council is still in need of several convertibles for court members to ride in during the Homecoming parade on October 6. If you can help, please contact student council advisor Grace Kelzer (ext. 302 or grace.kelzer@concordiaacademy.com).

HAPPENINGS BOOKS AVAILABLE
Happenings coupon books are available for $30 from the front office. They include thousands of dollars of discounts and special offers. Profits from the sales go to support Debby, our Compassion International child. Students can earn a free book if they sell 5 books. Questions? Contact Marilee Schneider.

SPORTS SEASON PASSES AVAILABLE
Sports passes (valid for home games all year) are now available. Prices are $85 for a pass for an individual or $160 for a family pass. A ten-event punch card is available for $45. Regular game admissions are $5 for adults and $3 for students. CA-Bloomington students are admitted at no charge. You can purchase your pass at any home game or contact Dan Maser, athletic director. Sports passes are a fantastic deal and a great way to show your Lancer support. (Note: According to MSHSL guidelines, the passes are not valid at playoff or tournament games.)
