FINALS ARE NEXT WEEK
Please take note of the final exam schedule. Remember, students with a study hall during the first or last exam of the day do NOT have to be present in the building during those times. If they are present, they will be in a study hall. Please note the early end times all three days. Students should arrange to leave the building as soon as possible after the last final of each day.

AWARDS CONVOCATION IS THIS SUNDAY, MAY 20
Plan to attend the Awards Convocation on Sunday, May 20, at 2:00 p.m. This event celebrates academic and extra-curricular achievements of our student body, including the induction of new National Honor Society members. Families with students receiving awards should have received letters letting them know that the student will be recognized at the convocation.

IMPORTANT REMINDER ABOUT TUITION & FEES
Please remember that, in order for students to receive report cards or for seniors to participate in graduation, tuition and fees payments and any fines must be current and all school materials must be returned. Thank you in advance for your help.

GRADUATION REHEARSAL
Seniors will have a required hour-long rehearsal for graduation on Thursday afternoon, May 24, from 1:00-2:00 in the gym. It is very important that all graduating seniors attend this rehearsal. On graduation night, Friday, May 25, all graduates should plan on arriving at school by 6:15 p.m.; please meet in the chapel.

PROM PHOTOS AVAILABLE
Photos from Grand March and dinner the night of prom are now available online. SPRING SPORTS PICNIC IS MAY 30
A Spring Sports Celebration for all baseball and softball players, managers, coaches, and families will take place Wednesday, May 30, at 6:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Cost is $8.00 per person, payable at the door (includes the cost of coaches' meals and gifts). Please RSVP before May 27 to mary_anderson@comcast.net. GLENN ROLLINS ACCEPTS CALL TO BE CA-BLOOMINGTON PRINCIPAL
Mr. Glenn Rollins has accepted the Call to be principal of Concordia Academy-Bloomington. Mr. Rollins is currently principal of Faith Lutheran High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he has served since 2000. Prior to that, he was principal and executive director at Luther High School East in Lansing, IL (near Chicago) and also served here at Lutheran High School from 1989-1995 as social studies teacher and dean of students. Glenn and his wife Sue have three sons: Tim (22), Jared (19), and Caleb (14). Caleb will be a freshman here next fall. Tim is graduating from Carroll College in Wisconsin with a degree in marketing and will be living in Milwaukee. Next fall Jared will be a sophomore at Concordia-Irvine. Glenn and his family hope to be moved by mid-July and look forward to returning to the Midwest Continue to keep the Rollins family in your prayers as they prepare for many transitions in this move. Glenn has many skills that will be a great blessing to CA-Bloomington. We can all thank God for guiding us to the next leader for the school.

LANCER SUMMER CAMPS PARTNER WITH MN TWINS
Lancer Summer Camps at Concordia Academy-Bloomington offer opportunities for students who love sports to develop their God-given talents, enjoy fellowship with old and new friends, and grow as athletes. Cost for each camp is $75. The following camps will be offered (grade levels listed refer to the grade the student is entering in fall of 2007):

In addition to Lancer Summer Camps, The Minnesota Twins will be holding their Twin Cities Youth Baseball & Softball Training Camp at CA-Bloomington June 25-27, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Students from CA-Bloomington and its association schools receive a $50 discount off of the $200 registration fee! To receive this special discount, you must fill out a separate Twins Camp registration form and make a note that the student attends a Concordia Academy school. Thank you to all CA-Bloomington parents for your help with the 2007 Salad Luncheon, Quilt Auction and Style Show, "How Does Your Garden Grow?" A special thank you to Colleen Larson, Salad Luncheon Chair; Taaron Iverson and Nancy Ulrich, basket coordinators; Barb and Dave Sundberg; Marilee Schneider; Dennis Buescher; and all others who helped through selling tickets, making donations, helping with set-up and clean-up, and attending the event. Together, we raised $7000 for PFA projects including re-carpeting classrooms and updating furniture in the front entrance way. We also thank Thrivent Southwest Hennepin Chapter and Central Minneapolis Chapter for Care in Communities grants.

YEARBOOK STUDENT SALUTES CAN STILL BE TURNED IN
Student salute ads can still be turned in. These ads give family members and friends a chance to include a special photo and surprise message for their special student(s) in the 2007 yearbook. GOLF TOURNAMENT IS JUNE 9
The 14th Annual CA-Bloomington Lyle M. Hansemann Golf Tournament is set for June 9 at Southern Hills Golf Course in Farmington. Registration brochures were mailed with mid-quarter grades and can also be downloaded here. Get some friends together and register for this fun day! Proceeds from this tournament support the Hansemann Scholarship Fund at CA-Bloomington.

NEWS FROM PHYL
Great news. PFA has just received a check for $129.35 for our inkjet and laser cartridges. Thanks to all who have saved these cartridges for
us. If you have any Campbells labels and lids at your home, please bring them ASAP. Parents, I have given the students an opportunity and challenge to design covers to our new coverless paperback books. Please encourage our students to participate. -Phyl Mueller
