PROGRAM EXPANSION
AT CA-BLOOMINGTON
Concordia Academy-Bloomington has begun
preliminary investigations towards adding a junior high or middle school
program to the school's program, possibly for the fall of 2007. Last night,
April 28,
representatives of four association schools met with members of the
school administration and the Executive Council to discuss the potential of
this
proposal for Concordia's
ministry. It was a positive discussion with many good questions. The
next step will be feasibility survey sent to families in our association schools;
the survey will gather data on each family's areas of interest in choosing
a school for their junior-high aged children and their interest in
a specific
junior high program connected to the high school. For more information
on this element of Concordia Academy's strategic plan, feel free to contact
Lynn Henry,
Principal, at lynn.henry@concordiaacademy.com or
952-854-0224, ext. 319. Please keep this process in your prayers as
we seek the Lord's will in building this
area of ministry.
HANSEMANN
GOLF TOURNAMENT IS JUNE 10
The 13th Annual
Lyle M. Hansemann Golf Tournament is June 10 at Southern Hills Golf Course
in Farmington. The shotgun start is at 1:00 pm. (If there are not enough golfers
for a shotgun start, there will be a morning tee off.) The golf package for
the day is $90, which includes 18 holes of golf and dinner. Registrations are
due by June 3. Golfers of all levels are welcome; this is a casual and fun
tournament. Proceeds
from the tournament go towards scholarships for CA-Bloomington students. The
tournament is named in honor of Lyle M. Hansemann (’74), an LHS graduate
who died in 1993 serving in the military during the Gulf War. For more information
and a downloadable brochure, go to www.concordiaacademy.com,
click on the Bloomington picture, click on "Special Events," and
go to the golf tournament page.

NEWS FROM

If you can help with wrapping books (Mother's Day purchases) at Border's in Richfield
on May 12 or 13, please contact me. We can use both students and parents. My

MOMS
IN TOUCH MOMENT
Moms in Touch is continuing their meditation on the Fruits of the Spirit.
This week we prayed about the goodness of God and how we are to live
as children of the Light, for the fruit of the Light is goodness, righteousness,
and truth (Ephesians 5:8 & 9). We thanked God for our children, and
we prayed that "God who began a good work in our children will carry
it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (Philippians
1:6) If you have a moment you might pray the same for your child. -Debbie
Heggemeier
and Moms in Touch International
