PROGRAM EXPANSION AT CA-BLOOMINGTON
Concordia Academy-Bloomington has begun preliminary investigations towards adding a junior high or middle school program to the school's program, possibly for the fall of 2007. Last night, April 28, representatives of four association schools met with members of the school administration and the Executive Council to discuss the potential of this proposal for Concordia's ministry. It was a positive discussion with many good questions. The next step will be feasibility survey sent to families in our association schools; the survey will gather data on each family's areas of interest in choosing a school for their junior-high aged children and their interest in a specific junior high program connected to the high school. For more information on this element of Concordia Academy's strategic plan, feel free to contact Lynn Henry, Principal, at lynn.henry@concordiaacademy.com or 952-854-0224, ext. 319. Please keep this process in your prayers as we seek the Lord's will in building this area of ministry.

SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE ROCKED!
Thanks to everyone who participated in or attended performances of Schoolhouse Rock Live last weekend, including the 425 students from association schools that attended special matinees. Special thanks to directors Sara Kampf Neel and Robin Martens. Over 150 pictures from the production can be viewed and downloaded online. Go to www.concordiaacademy.com, click on the Bloomington picture, and then click on the Schoolhouse Rock Live banner at the bottom of the page.

PFA SEEKS BOARD MEMBERS
The Parents/Friends Association needs your help. Several positions on the PFA Board will be open for the 2006/2007 school year, including Chair, Secretary/Publicity, and Receptions Coordinator. The jobs are very rewarding and not a lot of work. The main job of the PFA board is deciding how to spend the money earned from the various fundraisers throughout the year. If you would be willing to serve please contact Vicki Dice at 952-972-9728 or Lynn Henry, principal, at 952-854-0224, ext. 319.

MOMS IN TOUCH NEEDS LEADER(S) FOR THE 2006-07 SCHOOL YEAR
Moms In Touch International is looking for a leader(s) for the group at Concordia Academy. There are several options on how to lead this ministry; meeting once a week, bi-monthly, or monthly. If you are interested please contact Debbie Heggemeier at debheg@att.net or call her at 952-844-0128.

HANSEMANN GOLF TOURNAMENT IS JUNE 10
The 13th Annual Lyle M. Hansemann Golf Tournament is June 10 at Southern Hills Golf Course in Farmington. The shotgun start is at 1:00 pm. (If there are not enough golfers for a shotgun start, there will be a morning tee off.) The golf package for the day is $90, which includes 18 holes of golf and dinner. Registrations are due by June 3. Golfers of all levels are welcome; this is a casual and fun tournament. Proceeds from the tournament go towards scholarships for CA-Bloomington students. The tournament is named in honor of Lyle M. Hansemann (’74), an LHS graduate who died in 1993 serving in the military during the Gulf War. For more information and a downloadable brochure, go to www.concordiaacademy.com, click on the Bloomington picture, click on "Special Events," and go to the golf tournament page.

TIME'S RUNNING OUT FOR YEARBOOK STUDENT SALUTES
It's time to purchase "Student Salutes" for your student. These ads run in the back of the yearbook and are a great chance for parents, relatives, and friends to honor a CA-Bloomington student with a photo and brief message. While the ads are typically placed for seniors, they may be placed for students at any grade level. Ads cost $40. Information was sent with third quarter grades. You can also download a form at http://www.lutheranhighschool.com/downloads/StudentSalute2006.pdf. Questions? Contact Chris Roth.

SUMMER CAMPS AVAILABLE FOR 6TH-9TH GRADERS
Lancer Summer Camps offer a unique opportunity for students who love sports to develop their God-given talents, enjoy fellowship with old and new friends, and grow as athletes. Campers must be entering Grades 6-9 in the 2006-2007 school year. This year's camp opportunities include boys and girls soccer, boys basketball, girls basketball, girls softball, and girls volleyball. For complete information and a downloadable brochure, go to www.lutheranhighschool.com/lhsevents/summercamps.cfm. Questions? Contact Todd Bentz at todd.bentz@concordiaacademy.com.

General admission tickets are $10. To reserve your ticket, please call Dennis Senne, Director of Lutheran Special Education Ministries, at 651-603-6235. Another option is to donate purchased tickets which will be provided to students who may not otherwise be able to attend.

MOMS IN TOUCH MOMENT
Faithfulness was the Fruit of the Spirit we meditated on this week. We prayed that our children would "Enter God's gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise: giving thanks to Him and praising His name." We prayed that they know that "the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations." (Psalm 100: 4 & 5) We also prayed that, when our children choose to do wrong, God would help them get caught and to give us as parents His counsel on how to discipline them. If you have a moment you might pray the same for your child. -Debbie Heggemeier and Moms in Touch International
