FIRST SEMESTER GRADES ARE ON THE WAY
Students received their first semester grades in advisory meetings on Thursday, January 5. They should arrive in your mail by early next week, although grades will not be sent until any outstanding tuition or fees are cleared up.

COLLEGE FINANCIAL AID MEETING OFFERED ON MONDAY
On Monday, January 9, at 7:00 p.m., an information session about college financial aid will be offered at CA-Bloomington. The session features Brian Heinemann, Director of Financial Aid at Concordia University, St. Paul. Grants, loans, scholarships, and FAFSA will be covered. This is primarily for parents of juniors and seniors, but all parents are invited.

MOMS IN TOUCH CHANGES MEETING TIMES
Starting next week, the Moms in Touch prayer group will be meeting at a new time. We will now meet on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the home of the Heggemeiers. Our first meeting will be January 10. We pray for students, staff, and Concordia Academy for one hour per week. We would love to have more mothers join us. If you are interested, please call Debbie Heggemeier at 952-844-0128 or e-mail her at debheg@att.net.

CANDY AND FRUITCAKE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE
There are still a few boxes of candy and fruitcake available for sale. If you are interested, please contact Marilee in the school office.

OPEN HOUSE AND CLEAN-UP DAY COMING
To prepare the building for our winter open house, an all-school clean-up day will be held on Saturday, January 21, starting at 9:00 a.m. With many hands, the work goes quickly. Please consider assisting in making sure the buidling looks great for our visitors at the January 22 open house. If you plan to come and help, please call the office and let Marilee Schneider know. In addition, please spread the word about the open house. You are our most effective form of publicity. An open house postcard is being sent to you with semester grades. Please pass it on to another family and encourage them to attend.

SENIOR PARENT MEETING IS JANUARY 16
Parents of all seniors are asked to attend a senior party planning meeting on Monday, January 16, at 7:00 p.m. at CA-Bloomington.

SENIORS RECEIVE JOSTENS GRADUATION INFORMATION
This week, seniors received a packet with details about caps and gowns, announcements, and other graduation items for Jostens. Completed forms must be returned to the school office by January 18. EVEN IF NO ADDITIONAL ITEMS ARE BEING ORDERED, STUDENTS MUST RETURN THE FORM WITH THEIR CAP AND GOWN MEASUREMENTS FILLED OUT. There is no additional charge for caps and gowns.

SENIOR PICTURE INFORMATION
Senior photos for the yearbook are due by February 15. A letter with senior photo yearbook information is being mailed with first semester grades. Please read through it for important details. Questions? Contact Chris Roth.

ACT CLASSES OFFERED

SAT classes will also be offered at various city locations. Cost for the four-session SAT class is also $105; both courses can be taken for a combined rate of $175. NEWS FROM PHYL
Please turn in any and ALL of your Campbell's Cream of soups labels, Campbell's gravies labels, and Swanson broths labels. If I mail these in by January 31, we will be able to receive two points for each label instead of one point. Also, please turn in any BoxTops for Education that you have at home. All boxtops that we turn in by the end of February will be credited to this school year. Any turned in March 1 and later will be credited to next school year (2006-2007). -Phyl Mueller

MOMS IN TOUCH MOMENT
This past Wednesday we prayed that our childrens' souls find rest in God alone. We prayed that their salvation come from God. We prayed that God alone be their rock and their salvation. We prayed that God is their fortress and that our children might never be shaken (Psalm 62:1-2). If you have a moment you might pray the same for your child. -Debbie Heggemeier and Moms in Touch International
