History
The Lutheran High School Association of Greater Minneapolis became a reality in 1959 with the membership of nine area Lutheran congregations. A building in Minneapolis was purchased, and in the fall of 1963 Lutheran High School opened with 89 students in grades nine and ten. Each year a grade was added, and in 1966 Lutheran High School graduated its first class. The building in Minneapolis was eventually sold, and Lutheran High School rented space in the Edina Community Center for ten years. Lutheran High School purchased its present facility and moved in 1990. In January 2005, Lutheran High School opened up the new Dan Reuss Memorial Gym on the north side of its campus. A new partnership with Concordia Academy in Roseville, Minnesota began in the 2004-2005 school year, and in July 2005, Lutheran High School became Concordia Academy-Bloomington. The school retains the same programs, mascot, and school colors it had has Lutheran High School.
