a school where junior high and high school students worship together. Where
8th graders ready for advanced math have access to high school classes.
Where the day is truly departmentalized. Where sports and drama activities
emphasize teamwork, quality, and learning. Where fine arts and foreign language
classes are a part of every school day. Where the love of Christ is daily
emphasized.
In 2007, as Concordia Academy-Bloomington expands to include grades 7 and 8, that school will be a reality.
Classes
The academic program for junior high students will reach far beyond the “3
Rs.” Science and computer labs, an art room, Spanish class, music
courses, advanced offerings in areas such as math, and integration with
the high school
classes are just a few of the ways that junior high students will be offered
a program that challenges, encourages, and meets their unique needs.
Class sizes will maximize learning and help to actively engage students.
Faculty members include licensed teachers, guidance counselors, and administrators.

Activities
Current plans call for three seasons of sports for junior high students
that will compliment the Lancers’ high school athletic offerings.
The CA-Bloomington campus includes the new Dan Reuss Memorial Gymnasium,
a football/soccer
field,
and baseball and softball fields.
The CA-Bloomington drama program will expand to include annual offerings
specifically designed for junior high students.
Spiritual
Life
Academics and activities are vital to the Concordia experience, but
neither is as important as the daily opportunities to share Christian
faith.
Religion classes, twice-weekly chapels, Bible studies, and service
projects are
just a few of the opportunities students will have for faith formation.
Whether
in a classroom, on the field, in the hallway, or on stage, teachers,
students, and parents will encourage one another in their faith
walk.
